Well, I have survived the Moorpark fires. We were right in the middle of it and this was the worst one ever for me. I have lived here for sometime. My neighbors horse barn burnt, I had small fires within my property perimeter and several brush fires come to within feet of my property line. We were able to keep the water hoses on the house and trees which made all the difference. One of my dogs did run off and had been missing for a couple of days. I had put up fliers in the neighborhood and also checked the animal shelter and filled out a lost dog slip.

I am happy to say the animal shelter contacted me a day or so later and they had my dog. Someone had brought her into the shelter. Thank Goodness!

It really makes you appreciate all you have going through something like that. That was the closest I ever wish to come to losing my home and all my belongings. The Fire Fighters did a fantastic job and my hats off to them.
